Striding into Africa
Fedics Site Services (FSS) Zambia lights the beacon at ZIMEC 2013.
In June, Zambia hosted its third annual Zambia International Mining and Energy Conference (ZIMEC), at the new Government Complex in Lusaka. The event focuses on mining and energy issues, with an associated trade exhibition. The theme for this year, Developing Zambia’s Mining and Energy Sectors Towards 2020, attracted over 400 delegates from 28 countries.

Lephalale Site Services Giving Back to Move Forward
Lephalale Site Services (LSS) is a partnership between Fedics and a grassroots Waterberg-based company called MoonCloud 44.
The LSS partnership provides 20 000 daily meals at the huge Medupi Power Station construction site and Marapong Contractors Village. 15 May marked the celebrated completion of LSS’s latest CSI project, with the official opening of the Abbottspoort (Mokuronyane) Community Hall, built and sponsored by LSS. The Community Hall was opened by Andrew St Clair-Laing, Chairman of Lephalale Site Services, and Chief K.D. Langa of the Mapela nation.

In 2013 our fresh territory is Africa
In February Fedics Site Services hosted a successful exhibit at the huge 2013 Mining Indaba in Cape Town.
It’s exciting that business, worldwide, currently sees Africa as a lucrative investment destination. Africa’s resources have not been fully explored, and there has recently been a global shift in the general outlook, with Africa now being a continent where big companies can, and want to, do business. Africa is well endowed with mineral riches and international companies have been flocking to some of its remotest areas to set up new mining operations.
